CORTICOSTEROID INJECTION THERAPY

Service Description

Corticosteroid (steroid) drugs treat pain, inflammation, certain types of arthritis and many other medical conditions. They can be used in injectable form and are helpful in treating many foot problems. Corticosteroids can be injected locally for an anti-inflammatory effect. In joint inflammation they are injected intra-articularly to relieve pain, increase mobility and reduce deformity in a single joint. Steroid injections can be useful in the treatment of the following conditions; Plantar fasciitis / Heel pain Arthritis Morton’s Neuroma Bursitis Hallux rigidus/limitus Sinus Tarsi syndrome Ligament injury The effectiveness of an injection would depend on which structures within the foot are being targeted. Luke (the podiatrist) will discuss the expected outcome of your injection.
